It saves a lot of time and certainly proved to be very efficient in every professional or educational fields. Sharing photos, documents, or any other kind of data is super convenient. I haven't contributed or added any content yet, but I'm planning to do research and contribute to the Real Estate page. I work in the real estate field and by being constantly surrounded by it I certainly can add much more information than presented. I'd like to discuss about the listings and several platforms that let realtors post their listings on. Lately, there's been many issues with them which cause agencies to reconsider their entire business structures. So definitely planning to expand on that.

While the new media has been very useful impactful in our day and age, we constantly face a threat to our privacy. While social media platforms with its huge amounts of users are always growing, cybersecurity has certainly been lacking a real protection. Just during the past couple of years, we've had major news about platforms such as Google and Facebook wrongly using its users' saved data including personal information, preferences, pictures, and even location. What's even more worse is when we know that they sell our information for billions of dollars and the companies that invest heavily into obtaining people's data make their business decisions and aim at certain audiences based on the obtained information. Still to this day, we hear news about data breaching which puts us a society in a great jeopardy. One major improvement that Baruch College can make is to get its students more involved in the student life. Baruch itself is known for being a commuter school and I can certainly agree with that being a transfer student from a big campus school. Comparing to out of town large campus schools, Baruch lacks that ability to bring its students more involved. So, one major change could be a use of social media to get everyone involved. The school can invest and develop a very resourceful platform in which the social can promote all kinds of news and events  which students can attend and generally be aware of. For example, if the school organizes a concert, it can run a very well organized campaign to promote that. In the end, not only students will all come together, but the school can also benefit financially and from getting more followers and likes. In order to show how new media and various types of platforms has been helpful in making content and expanding our creative abilities, I've made a video of Apple's Animoji that everyone has on their phones. Animoji was created recently and it was sort of an expansion of regular emojis where people can create their own faces and appearances or simply use different characters that Animoji has to offer. Recently, Apple integrated Animojis to Facetime where we can chat with people while using one of the funny appearances that we ourselves created. My video is basically a lip reading of the song Happy by Pharrell Williams. In the music video, there are many people from different backgrounds and cultures which I tried to also demonstrate in my video. I also used Apple's iMovie to make the video and included a globe in the beginning to show how many options the app has to offer. Hope you enjoy!

In recent years, various platforms of new media has allowed people to foster creativity in many ways and dimensions. Making videos, bloopers, vines has been very popular amongst all ages and groups and with the variety of media platforms it became much more accessible leading to people vividly express their creative ideas. I would like to point out YouTube, a huge platforms for videos and especially for people creating their own content. Make up tutorials, video gameplays, clips have been getting millions of views. I'm shocked how much of a huge business the videos of toys for little kids became generating millions of likes and of course dollars. In "Disney Tolerates a Rap Parody of Its Critters. But Why?", it states how people have been making mash ups of famous cartoons and creating their own videos changing the ideas and content while making it more fun and entertaining. Virtual World has been one of the very developed and charismatic  inventions in the our generation. Every year it has been growing and reaching more audiences. It's an avatar based space (virtual reality) where people can engage in activities, play, sing, explore and pretty much enjoy the entertaining and sometimes educational content. I would like to point out that Virtual Reality isn't just for gamers, by now its abilities have certainly expanded. In Stephanie Simon's article "Avatar II: The Hospital", she mentions the ability of VR to teach and improve medical training. While wearing the VR headset, many professionals can improve their skills and their abilities to react to emergencies and unexpected events. I totally believe it's possible having tried the VR myself and witnessing its detailed and endless potential.
